Craig does not hesitate in coming forward and telling prison staff and management about the failings of the prison system. Prison staff with whom Craig has regular contact would answer some of his criticisms with the question ‘What are the Alternatives to Prison?’ Craig rejects the corporatist idea that to present a problem one also needs to have the solution, but he relented and gave them an answer which is set out in this document.
